A part of me.

If you would not be forgotten as soon as you’re gone, dead and rotten, either write things worth reading or do things worth writing.” – Benjamin Franklin

Director of Photography....

On set, the Director of Photography or DP supervises the camera and lighting crews, and he or she will work closely with the set designers, costumers, and makeup artists. Often, the Director of Photography and theDirector both have final say over which cuts will be included in the finished piece, and the two work closely together to achieve the desired look. The Director of Photography will use lighting, filters, and a variety of camera techniques to shoot a scene in accordance with the wishes of the director.

Now everyone with a camera is a photographer, but it takes an immense amount of skill, patience foresight and creativity to be a Director of photography.

7 Train view of midtown.

I ran to the front of the train to get this shot...
My vision as a director helps me see what people neglect on a daily basis.

A fellow photographer looking for an interesting shot.

Decisive moment:
That point in the timeline of the event taking place,
where the photographer takes their picture at  that precise moment,
enabling the perfect shot.

Tourist.
Taking a picture of his loved one.

I was going for the looking out the window theme while sitting on  the train.
I call it "Elevated Train Ride"

I call this "who's responsible?"
A couch left for dispose in Chelsea.
